Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was born December 13 1989. She moved to Nashville in Tennessee at the age of 14 to become a singer-songwriter. Her 2006 self-titled debut album was the first female country artist to record an U.S. platinum-certified album. Swift's next album, Fearless (2008) was about country pop. Speak Now (2010) was her third album. The two first country tracks to hit the top of the U.S. charts for airplay included "Love Story" and "You Are My Friend". Red (2012) featured her first Billboard Hot 100 hit, "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together". 1989 (2014) saw her abandon her country image. It was supported by the chart-topping "Shake It On", "Blank Space",and "Bad Blood". Reputation (2017), with its number-one song "Look at What You Made Me Do", was the result of media examination. Swift left Big Machine in 2018, and signed with Republic Records. In 2019, Swift released Lover (2019), followed closely by Miss Americana (2020), an autobiography of her life. The five albums she has released have had over 1 million copies sold in the US. Among her accolades are 12 Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year wins and an Emmy Award; 40 American Music Awards; 29 Billboard Music Awards; and 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been included in such rankings as Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Songwriters of All time; Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists; Forbes Celebrity 100; and Billboard's 100 Greatest of All Time Artists. Honored with titles such as Artist of the Decade and Woman of the Decade, Swift is a vocal advocate for artists' rights and women's empowerment.
