SarahAahoo Jansouzshahi (10 January 1980) was better known by her stage name Sarah Shahi, an American actress and former model. She was Carmen in the TV show The L Word in 2005, Kate Reed in the USA Network legal drama Fairly Legal (2011-2012), and Sameen Shaw on the CBS crime drama Person of Interest (2012-2016). Also, she played the character of Det. Dani Reese is a character in the show Life[3] as well as Alias. She was a part of Reverie the 2018 show. She starred in a recurring part in City on a Hill on Showtime and in seven episodes on The Rookie as Jessica Russo the love interest of her. Shahi met Robert Altman while working as an actor in the show Dr. T and the Women of Texas. Robert Altman encouraged Shahi to move to Hollywood and she was offered roles in Alias and Dawson's Creek and also Reba and Supernatural. She played the second season's supporting role for DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales as seen on The L Word in 2005. Shahi's contract, which ran for two years, was not renewed after the end of the fourth season. She was also written off.
