Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was a known American actress. Her most well-known role was the one of the character Miss Kitty Russell on the TV show 'Gunsmoke.' In addition to this her appearance in the television shows "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". Alongside a myriad of films, she's also been featured in several TV shows, such as Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho, ?Cattle Town ?, ?Miss Robin Crusoe $1, "About Mrs. Leslie ? The le de Paris, the Adventures of Hajjibaba?, a?High Society Blake was a former telephone operator, and a lover of animals, loved animals. She and her husband Frank Gilbert and she were one of the first humans who successfully bred Cheetahs. The American actor was among the co-founders for the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). Blake was an AAWL director of the Humane Society of the United States. Blake has been awarded many honors such as being inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
