Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop stars. She was an artist capable of effectively bridge the gap between pop and country while sweeping the globe. Swift has thrown off her country roots as if it were a second-skin revealing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters in her generation. She has the ability to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her personal. This was evident in her early songs, particularly with regard to the neo homage of Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008), Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to know her. Fearless was hugely popular not only in the US where it's Top Ten singles Love Story, and You Belong with Me helped it to achieve six platinum records but also around the world. It performed particularly well in Canada, Australia and the U.K. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this popularity and pushed Swift into the stratosphere of fame. The next three years, her popularity was growing with the release of three albums -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) -- as she moved into a world of pop music in which her talent was already well-established. She stayed on top of the charts until she reverted to her signature style in her twin albums, folklore and Evermore in the year 2020.
