Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay was born on 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay who was a Mormon belonging to the Church of Latter-Day Saints' first family, combined her brilliant literary skills and impressive researching skills to produce the brilliant, psychohistorical book of the author, No Man is a Master of My History, which was published in 1945. That title was taken from a funeral sermon delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring"You're not my friend, you never knew my heart. My story is not known to anyone. It is not possible for me to divulge it. Writes the 29-year-old Fawn after this moment of honesty, there have been at least three hundred writers who have taken up the gauntlet. Certain people have attempted to glorify him while others accused him of being an obfuscator. A few even attempted an invasive diagnosis. It's because the documents don't exist. They're simply contradictory. The task of assembling the various documents, separating personal accounts from second-hand plagiarism and fitting Mormon and non-Mormon stories to create a mosaic that makes credible historical claims. is exciting and enlightening. This is the kind of task to which Fawn Brodie dedicated herself professionally. Her writing and research brought her recognition around the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. Scourge Of The Southern (1959) The Devil Drives. The Life of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. An intimate Historical Document (1974) and a posthumously Richard Nixon.
